Two Months Today

Robbie needs some sleep after two months of hard work.

(yes that is a real Dell security badge Robert is wearing and yes it has his name and photo on it; hey, he's almost two months old - he's got to start pulling his own weight around here)

Gaining Weight III

Not so little Robbie weighed in today at 8 lbs 2oz. Interestingly that is exactly what his father weighed at birth (Robbie, of course, took 7 weeks and 3 days to reach this).

Robbie's Room

Put together mostly by Margaret, with a little help from Sean, Robbie's room is painted "tomboy blue". All around the room are letters and numbers, which in a few cases spell things out.

Clarke's Birthday

No surprise that at his cousin Clarke's birthday party Robbie was the centre of attention - not that Clarke seemed to mind . . .

Play List

Sean created a music play list of songs he thought appropriate for Robbie. After the umpteenth time Margaret heard the same songs being played for Robbie she inquired, and subsequently began telling everyone what her husband had done. Here is the list:

Though they were aware of what day it was, and were thinking of photos, neither Sean nor Margaret took a photo of Rob on his one month day. Here he is at one month and one day.

Gaining Weight II

At his appointment today Robbie weighed 6lbs 11oz !!! Almost two pounds over his birth weight in just under a month.

At The Shower

The ladies at Margaret's church threw her and Robbie a shower.

Robbie received some very nice gifts. (though he seems to have been a bit camera shy that night)

The Crib

The always generous Dave and Jolene bought (and brought) Rob his crib. Along with them were their sons (Rob's cousins) Brendan, Gavin and Eric.

Gaining Weight

On July 14th, one week after his last weigh in, Robert was found to way 5lbs and 8oz; a gain of 12 oz in just 7 days.

Welcome to Edmonton Nana !

Margaret's mother arrived in Edmonton on the 12th of July. Naturally she and Robbie got along very well.

Two Weeks Today

The End

Saturday July 9th, 2005 Margaret left Grey Nuns Hospital sans gall bladder. Come what may, she would never be troubled by that again. On the way out she stopped to say goodbye to a few of nurses (who had monitored Rob several times a day, every day for the last three months of the pregnancy).

Priceless

Over sized hospital diaper - 50 cents.

Used preemie outfit - 3 dollars.

Peeing all over daddy - priceless.

First Appointment

Robert had his first appointment with Dr. Chan on July 7th. Measurements showed he was back to birth weight

Surgery !

Though Margaret's scheduled date for surgery had been July 21st, after an ultrasound the surgeon decided it needed to be done immediately. The picture is just shortly after it was finished.

Back to the Hospital

On July 5th Margaret's gall stones reared their head for the first time since Robert was born. Margaret had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance (which Robert got to ride in also).

When Sean got off work and to the hospital he relieved Grace, who had been looking after little Rob.
